We welcome you to apply to be a demonstrator for this event, as an opportunity to showcase your latest ocean technology innovations to an anticipated crowd of 400+ guests, representing over 20 countries.

Event Details
Demo Day will run on-site at COVE, in Dartmouth Nova Scotia, on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM. The site will feature multiple outdoor event tents for table-top demonstrations, two on-water presentation spaces, and one indoor presentation space. Guests will be encouraged to explore all areas throughout the day, as programming will be rolling and continuous in all spaces. Location 1: Showcase Stage
The on-water showcase stage along the marginal wharves will feature select demonstrations that offer large-scale views of your innovation at work utilizing the marginal wharves and harbour space as required.
These demonstrations are expected to be for technologies requiring vessel assistance or technologies requiring full harbour access. There will be limited time slots available.
It is anticipated your tech demonstration will be repeated twice during the event.
Guests will be situated on land alongside the marginal wharf and finger pier.
Your demonstration will be promoted on the COVE website, through social media posts, and in the physical event brochure.
Included equipment:
Water space to present your technology (with vessel as required).
AV equipment with microphone and podium for presentation.
Standard 120v power and wifi provided.
Safety teams, as required.
Event admission for two team members with lunch provided.
COVE will work with you directly to assist with any additional needed requirements.
Demonstration Fee: $750.00 CAD
Location 2: Blue Stage
The Blue Stage allows select demonstrations to utilize our floating docks to showcase your innovative technology toward a bleacher-seated audience.
Select companies will be given a specific timeslot during the day to give their presentation. It is anticipated your tech demonstration will be repeated twice during the event.
Guests will be situated on land, seated in bleachers facing the floating docks. Guests will also be able to access the floating docks between sessions to meet with you directly and ask questions.
Your demonstration will be promoted on the COVE website, through social media posts, and in the physical event brochure
Included equipment:
Water space to present your technology.
AV equipment with microphone for presentation.
Standard 120v power and wifi provided.
Event admission for two team members with lunch provided.
COVE will work with you directly to assist with additional needed requirements.
Demonstration Fee: $650.00 CAD
Location 3: Innovation Stage
This stage allows for select companies that do not have technology available for display due to travel, or other reasons, and wish to present in an indoor facility event space with a high-quality video or slide presentation.
Select companies will be given a specific timeslot during the day to give their presentation, and space will be provided to meet with attendees for further discussions throughout the day.
Your demonstration will be promoted on the COVE website, through social media posts, and in the physical event brochure.
Included equipment:
Projector, screen, podium, two microphones and PA speaker.
Laptop connectivity available.
Standard 120v power and wifi provided.
Event admission for two team members with lunch provided.
COVE will work with you directly to assist with additional needed requirements.
Demonstration Fee: $500.00 CAD
Location 4: Tech Alleys
Tech Alley consists of outdoor tents that will feature a designated sheltered table-top demonstration space (10’ wide x 8’ deep) for select companies.
Presentations will be set up for the duration of the day to showcase technologies and meet with attendees.
Attendees will be able to freely move about within this location to meet with demonstrators at their convenience.
Your demonstration will be promoted on the COVE website, through social media posts, and in the physical event brochure.
Included equipment:
One 6 ft. table with black linen and two chairs.
One standard 120v power outlet and wifi provided.
Event admission for two team members with lunch provided.
Additional equipment (including monitors) to be supplied by demonstrator.
Demonstration Fee: $500.00 CAD
Location 5: The Bays
Reserved for COVE resident companies to use their bay space to demonstrate.
We invite you to apply for the location that best fits your needs. Space is limited in some locations, and we will work with your organization to ensure we can maximize your exposure and meet your specific requirements. If you are interested in a tabletop space and a presentation space (Locations 1, 2, or 3), please indicate so in your application.
Equipment
Equipment provided per stage is listed above. If partnering with a vessel is required to execute your on-water demonstration, please indicate so on your application. If alternate power supply is required, please also indicate on your application. Any additional equipment will need to be self-provided.
Please note: There will not be any live camera-feed captured during this event, above or below water. The demonstration will be visible to the audience from the viewing area, and screens will be provided to enhance your demonstration with pre-recorded content or live web-based data collection.
Deadlines
A representative from COVE will be in touch to discuss details further. Should you be approved, a contract will be sent for signature, and further marketing materials will be required for submission.
