In 2019, Hefring began creating a new single-person portable, buoyancy driven autonomous underwater vehicle, an ocean glider. Oceanscout models feature a tightly integrated, mission-specific sensor payload, the first for CTD measurements and passive acoustic monitoring. The mission control software allows users to deploy larger glider fleets, characterizing wider ocean domains.
